Pride, reality, hard work, determination, tears, bravery, tiredness, depression, loneliness----Before we get the top, we need to experience all of these or some. Dream is a big word. It is so attractive to young and old, men and women that some devote their whole life, their youth and even their life to pursuing it. The dream is just like the Apple, which first attracted Eve and then Adam to taste it. People love the Apple, for which they began to taste the suffering and joy，to tell right from wrong. And then the whole world seemed to be crazy------sadness and happiness, crime and innocence, death and life, success and failure, desire and greediness-----which made the earth an interesting and colorful place to live.
Born in 1959, Lawrence Taylor expected a dream to the world. This dream is guided by God. He would never know he could be the great until he was really here. Now in his fifties, he faces a charge of rape. Believe it or not, Fate often holds people in derision. But it is fair. It gives you the chance to success. Meanwhile it provides you the opportunity to be a bad guy. You know what? Angle has two faces----bright and dark.

Let us be back to fifty-one years ago when a boy was born into a black family. The parents were very happy and believed their son would make a difference to the family. They were not disappointed because their son was really good. He was a genius and had a gift for American football. His talent was soon found by those who loved football and those who needed him to contribute to football history in America. And later his performance really excited and shocked the football world as a great defensive player in NFL history. We couldn’t help shouting“ Oh, my angel! I love you. I love you so much!”
Lawrence Taylor makes Football Hall of Fame was read by hundreds of millions of people in their morning newspapers. Many people, especially the black, felt proud of him and really happy for him and they firmly believed LT was worthy of the name. But now things are different: Baby is gone. There comes the devil! He is no longer angel, and what he has done really angers the people, especially those who loved him. Sex is really an excitement----like gambling, excites the original sin----curiosity. We human are born with that.
Perhaps Taylor can fight against his rivals like a fighter, but he could not fight against his devil---original sin. Just as is said, the person he tries to outdo most of the time is himself. The discussion of humans are born kind and humans are born evil hits me again. Why does God make Adam and Eve? Then why were the apples so tasty? And our Eve was tempted to have a taste. That means our act is often affected by our curiosity. Then the excitement to feel the curiosity drives us to conduct crime.
Lawrence Taylor was made Most Valuable Player in 1986. He led his team to the Super Bowl twice and won the champion. Number 56 NFL jersey was a number filled with honor and trust. Now as time goes by, it is still here, but not as bright as before. He was considered one of, if not the best, football player on the planet when he led New York Giants to 2 NFL Super Bowl championships. From the moment he started playing games, he knew he had to win. Perhaps his dream was to travel everywhere and anywhere to feed his competitive urge.
However, his competitive urge was not only the NFL games, he challenged laws and morality and self-control. He was once asked what he could do that no other outside linebacker could.

But his problems ran deeper than just alcohol. He got involved in cocaine abuse in 1985. He said he switched his addiction to golf, which he called his "detox tank," and putted his way through rehabilitation. He was suspended for 30 days in 1988 for failing a drug test.
Taylor entered drug rehab twice in 1995. Then he was arrested two times in three years on charges he tried to buy cocaine. Getting out of the fast lane has been difficult for a man who did everything at full speed.
When you live on the edge, even the strongest eventually fall off.
Once Taylor said playing football was just like playing basketball. “There are guys who want to shoot that last shot, and others who want to pass off. I want that last shot."
What makes L.T. so great, what makes him so aggressive, is his total disregard for his body," said Bill Belichick, the Giants' defensive coordinator during Taylor's prime.
He changed the way defense is played, the way pass-rushing is played, the way linebackers play and the way offenses block linebackers. His dream to the top was finally realized. Many young NFL players aim to achieve what he has done. However, this time he destroys thousands of thousands of dreams. He also change the way people treat him----with his great and aggressive body----this time his last shot is a 16-year-old girl.

No one can replace Michael Jordan in the history of basketball playing. Even Kobe Bryant, a new star of NBA, can not. However, that doesn't mean there are no similarities between them. They both love gambling----every one loves gambling in Las Vegas. They both have mistresses. That's why they used to be seated in the court. Playboys in America can be often accused of by women for their offence of rape or love child. It is not new to NBA fans but it is really news and sometimes the news about those scandals really hurt their fans. One court , which is for law and justice; the other court, for your heroes to play basketball. It is funny, right? When Jordan first stand at American court being accused for his love child, his fans first surprised or angry, then they understand and accept it. After all, he is just a human. And human makes mistakes. And then another NBA human Kobe makes the same mistake. He is luckier than his senior, for his love story doesn't produce and love child.

World Cup:

When Diego Maradona, king of football, was standing at the court, he was known as the father of a child---love child to the world. I remember another football star. David Beckham, now a father of three boys, is satisfactory. Though he is not so perfect, he is believed to be a good father and nice husband.

Golf:

Tiger Woods is really a genius. His talent for tennis playing is the gift of God. He is the greatest in Golf of our age. He creates his history and is changing the history of Golf. He has also brought another great gift to his fans: having affairs with 120 women or so. Elin Nordegren , his wife, chooses to divorce him. That is expected.

NFL:

Six times! A huge glory! In the 43rd NFL Super Bowl, Big Ben Roethlisberger, quarterback of Pittsburgh Steelers, together with his fighters, won the year-off throne back. Fans dressed in NFL jersey jumped with joy and threw their caps to the sky, hugging and crying. It was really a touching and excited moment. Victory made our hero too excited to control himself. He couldn't wait to share his success and happiness with a woman. And then he was almost invited to our court---to share his victory ---for his offence of rape. Finally, he escaped. The lack of evidence freed him. What in hell are you doing? Perhaps this is the question his boss and his pals dying to ask with their anger or something.

Hollywood:

A secret makes a woman woman. That is true. But what if a man knows her secret? Go and watch What Women Want starred by Mel Gibson. And if you do, you will want a lover just like Robyn's Mel Gibson----a perfect man in the film and used to a nice husband. But now, in his fifties, Mel Gibson falls in love with another woman. Yes, every husband and every wife has problems in his or her marriage, but is that the reason for divorce? Perhaps sometimes it is. Most it isn't.

Take it easy! No offence! I know there are some women stars are not out of fashion. Britney Spears is known as an attractive and hot star, and she is also a woman of many experiences----drugs, divorces, financial crisis. She almost ruined her career. So what? Hollywood or such like is a place where the scandals don't see the light of day until somebody disclosed some secret dealings.

Forget and forgive:

The world itself is funny, interesting, challenging, difficult and greedy. Sometimes we need to open our hearts and then feel it. Only in this way can we understand people around us or like us, and then find out who you are. Every one makes mistakes. When the mistake is unforgivable, then the mistake becomes crime and then you need to be punished; when the mistake can be forgivable, then try to apologize and correct as soon as possible. Because that is the only way you can be forgiven. Only when people forgive you can they forget the hurt and you can make a new start in your life. After that, you are just you----having a dream, working hard and being confident and full of strength as well as passion.

What Women Want? Early morning, running on the road; no worrying about her shape, her family and her job but just be herself----touch the ground and relax and be confident. No games, just sports. That's what Marshall and Darcy do for Nike women's division in the film What Women Want. They make it and Nike helps Darcy get a job and promotion in the company. Of course, Marshall wins the beauty's heart. So I am reminded that: Do sports make money or just lose money? My answer is money doesn't always bring happiness, it does bring people good life. It is the same with sports. Just go out and make your living. Every day! Believe me, life is not so easy, but sometimes it is just so easy. Look at sports, you will find some answers.

Sportsmen earn money by sports

Look at Brooklyn Beckham, Romeo Beckham and Cruz Beckham, three boys, together with their father, David Robert Joseph Beckham, are shopping with their mother Victoria Beckham. Look! We know that big businesses have been made before the Super Bowl----sportswear. Sportswear, sports shoes or sneakers have become colorful and fashion-oriented, even though some sports ideas never caught on. Can you say making money is irrelevant to sports? When people's attention is given to Victoria Beckham, their attention is also given to the fashion, which is led by Victoria. And then some girls begin to adore her and follow her dressing style, especially when she goes to cheer her husband on in the football games. Then you make money and you realize the charming of sports. When you wear cheap NFL jersey, you know you love it because you love NFL, but you don't realize you are losing money---for tickets and for what you wear. Take it easy! His teammates are willing to work together to get the top-------the Super Bowl. They seem to be a family----with 11 brothers fighting for the glory and for fun. It seems all these men love football more than anything else. They are cool and adored. In fact they are not just human beings, they are fighters. When they fight against their rivals, they are men---strong, brave, smart, and sly. They remind people of fighters in the battles. For me, they are like ancient Chinese terracotta warriors. The difference is war brings violence and death and tragedy, while NFL game brings fun and good life for people including players and fans----One for joy and the other for good life. When the worldwide financial crisis didn’t beat NFL, we can believe that NFL could bring the world peace by its popularity among the world in the future. For sports will shorten the distance between you and me.

Falcon Draft Pick Kerry Meier Carries on Brother Dylan's Memory

The Atlanta Falcons didn't know it, but they drafted two players with one pick on Saturday. Kerry Meier will bring his brother with him to the NFL.
Not literally. Dylan Meier was buried Monday, two days after Kerry was taken in the fifth round.
Barely a week had passed since Dylan fell to his death on a hiking trip. The last person to see him before he slipped off the rock was Kerry.
"It's so hard to grasp right now," he said. "It's a surreal experience and something I still don't really feel it happened."
Most of Kansas feels the same way. At least the part that knows football and the Meiers.
They've been called the First Family of Kansas football. Dennis and Valerie Meier produced four boys any coach would love to call his own.
Now the third one, the one who traveled the world looking for new friends and adventure, is being laid to rest in a small Kansas town.
"There isn't a church or any place big enough to accommodate the crowd," Merle Clark said.
He was Dylan's high school coach and gave one of the eulogies Monday. The service was held at Pittsburg Memorial Auditorium, which seats 1,600 people. It's the biggest indoor venue around Pittsburg, Kansas.
As always, mourners tried to make sense of the death. How could a guy who dodged Big 12 conference linebackers, who ran with the bulls in Pamplona, who skydived in the Alps ...
How could he slip off a rock where hikers stop and stare all the time?
Then there is the why. Why did it happen to a 26-year-old who loved life so much?
"He was bright, handsome and athletic. He had it all," Clark said. "He was just out in the country, living life, seeing the beauty of the world. In a sad, ironic way it's fitting."
Dylan MeierDylan (pictured right) was Clark's first quarterback after he became head coach at Pittsburg High. The Meier legacy had already been established. The oldest brother, Shad, played tight end at Kansas State and then six years in the NFL.
Adam was a safety at hometown Pittsburg State, the only university in America with a gorilla for a mascot. Clark said Dylan was the hardest worker of them all.
He'd cajole teammates into staying after practice to catch passes. When that didn't work, he'd stay by himself and throw at the tires by the field.
Dylan suffered a concussion in the state championship game, but he came off the bench and almost led Pittsburg to the win. He fought back from shoulder surgery. He was the team captain as a junior and senior. He was voted the Most Inspirational Player.
You get the idea.
"He was the epitome of what you'd want in a young man," Clark said.
Dylan followed Shad to Kansas State. He became the starting quarterback but reinjured his throwing shoulder. He returned, eventually losing his job to Josh Freeman.
Freeman was a hotshot who would become the No. 1 pick of the Tampa Bay Bucs. Dylan graciously accepted his fate. As good as he was, he knew the NFL was one trip he wouldn't make.
He did the next best thing. He went to NFL Europe for three years. The football was fun, but small-town boy relished places like Barcelona, Frankfurt and London.
"I need to be out enjoying life," he told Clark.
The football portion ended when he hurt his shoulder a third time. The next thing anyone knew, Dylan was in New Zealand. He worked in vineyards for room and board.
"He just did it for the experience," Clark said. "The opportunity to live life."
With his long blond hair, blue eyes and insatiable curiosity, he had no problem making friends. But wherever he went, Dylan always kept up with his younger brother.
Kerry was a lot like Dylan. A good athlete, Kerry Meierthough not a superstar. He played quarterback at Pittsburg High. But Kerry didn't want to be known as the "Little Meier."
He went to Kansas instead of Kansas State. What was sacrilegious to fans was all right by Dylan.
"You couldn't ask for a better guy," Kerry said. "He was very protective of me and looked out for me in every way possible."
Dylan's quarterback dreams were done in by shoulder problems. Kerry's started to wane after doctors at Kansas discovered he had a serious heart condition. He sat out a year after undergoing surgery.
He started eight games as a sophomore, but eventually lost his job. Being a Meier, he turned himself into an all-conference wide receiver. Kerry set a school record with 97 catches last year. All of which had the entire Meier family anticipating the past weekend.
Dylan was home before his next excursion. He had signed up to teach English for a year in Seoul, South Korea. Never mind that he didn't speak a word of Korean. Dylan knew he'd get by.
Everybody except Shad decided to take a quick vacation to the Ozark National Forest in Arkansas. They stopped on a remote trail, a mile from the nearest road. Dylan climbed a rock to get a better view of the gorge and countryside below.
Dylan sat there taking it all in. It wasn't wet. The sandstone rock didn't crumble. He just stood up and lost his footing.
Kerry and Adam were close by, but they weren't close enough to grab him. Dylan fell 94 feet.
A nature photographer who lives in the park was the first to find him. Tim Ernst said Dylan was lying on his side, almost as if he'd fallen asleep.
"The entire scene, it was peaceful, tranquil," he wrote on his blog. "It was almost the kind of scene you felt, well, you really felt you were disturbing the world by being there. Very quiet. Very still. No sound, no wind. Which is really rare out there."
The brothers eventually made it down the gorge and identified Dylan. The last thing Kerry had on his mind was the NFL Draft.
"He pushed me through a lot of tough times growing up," Kerry said. "And he's always been right there for me, carrying me along."
When the phone rang Saturday, he knew it would be his turn to carry Dylan.
"I just want to continue my career in honor of him," Kerry said.
It sounds like a coping mechanism, and maybe that's all it is. Fifth-round picks are no sure bets. When analysts grade the draft, they don't give bonus points for heartache.
But what a person believes, a person believes. Kerry will show up in Atlanta believing he has a higher purpose.
For all the living he packed into his short life, Dylan never had an NFL adventure. Now his little brother wants to give him one.

Titans agree to three-year, $17M contract with DT Brown

NASHVILLE, Tenn. --happy news...The Tennessee Titans and defensive tackle Tony Brown agreed to a three-year contract extension worth $17 million Thursday to keep the restricted free agent with the team.
The Titans had tendered Brown at a first-round level worth $2.61 million, and team officials and the lineman's agent had been working on a long-term deal since February. They finalized the details of a deal that will pay Brown $7.5 million in 2010, and agent Martin Magid said his client was on his way to sign it.
Brown also has played for the Carolina Panthers, Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers in five NFL seasons, but he missed out on unrestricted free agency with the collective bargaining agreement in its final year. That forces players to have six full seasons instead of four to become unrestricted free agents and be able to sign with any team.
Magid said he conceded to a three-year deal and believes Brown will receive another NFL contract in his career. Tennessee is a good fit now for Brown, who played college football at Memphis.
"I don't think that was the ultimate factor. As a restricted guy, you've got some handcuffs on you," Magid said. "We worked hard to get it done, myself and the Titans. They've been very cordial through it, and you agree to disagree. At the end of the day, we came to a conclusion, and Tony's pretty happy."
The Titans originally picked up Brown in October 2006 to fill in during Albert Haynesworth's five-game suspension. The next year, Brown received an extension that kept him on the roster through 2009.
Brown started 15 games last season and had five sacks and a team-high 25 quarterback pressures.He was a Pro Bowl alternate.
